Ajali; Simulizi ya aliyenusurika kifo kutoka ghorofa ya 15

Dar es Salaam. Fundi ujenzi, Yusuph Abdallah ambaye amelazwa katika Taasisi ya Mifupa (Moi), ameeleza jinsi alivyonusurika kifo baada ya jengo la ghorofa 16 kuporomoka Ijumaa iliyopita.

Yusuph aliliambia Mwananchi akiwa wodini kwamba kilichomponya ni neema za Mungu kwani kabla jengo hilo kuporomoka yeye alikuwa ghorofa ya 15 kwenye jengo hilo katika Mtaa wa Indira Gandhi akiendelea na ujenzi.

Alieleza kuwa hakuwa anafahamu kinachoendelea, bali aliona ghafla jengo linaaanza kuporomoka, na baada ya hapo hakufahamu zaidi kilichotokea hadi alipojikuta yuko hospitalini.

“Kweli jengo lilipoanza kuporomoka sikutambua nini kinachoendelea kwani nilipoteza fahamu na kujikuta nipo hapa Muhimbili,” anasimulia Abdallah.

Alisema anahisi alipoanguka alifunikwa na kifusi kilichomponda na kuvunja miguu yote.

Fundi huyo ambaye amefungwa plasta gumu (P.O.P) miguu yote, alisema hakuweza kuona watu waliomwokoa.

Mkazi wa Ubungo, Ally Mlela ambaye ni fundi madirisha anasimulia jinsi mke wake alivyomwokoa katika ajali hiyo baada ya kumtaka asiende kufanya kazi siku hiyo.

Akisimulia jinsi ilivyokuwa Mlela anasema siku ya tukio aliwasiliana na rafiki yake ambaye amepoteza maisha katika ajali hiyo na kumtaka aende akaonane na mkandarasi wa jengo hilo, ili ampe kazi ya kuweka madirisha.

“Majira ya asubuhi kati ya saa mbili na saa tatu hivi nilipokea simu kutoka kwa rafiki yangu jina maarufu anajulikana kama Tafu, ambapo alinitaka niende nikaonane na mkandarasi wa jengo hilo ili anipe kazi ya kuweka madirisha,” anasema Mlela.

Anasema wakati akijiandaa kutoka mke wake alimwambia siku hiyo apumzike asiende kufanya kazi naye akakubali, lakini haikupita muda mrefu mke wake alimfuata na kumuuliza amesikia taarifa kwamba kuna jengo limedondoka?

“Niliamua kwenda katika eneo la tukio na ndipo alipogundua kwamba eneo hilo ndiyo alipotakiwa kwenda kufanya kazi. Wakati juhudi za uokoaji zikiendelea nilijaribu tena kumpigia simu rafiki yangu.Nikiwa bado kwenye eneo la tukio ghafla nikaona mguu ukitolewa kwenye mchanga na nilitambua ulikuwa mguu wa rafiki yangu baada ya kuona kiatu chake.”

JK awatembelea majeruhi

Rais Jakaya Kikwete jana aliwatembelea majeruhi wa ajali hiyo ambao wamelazwa Hospitali ya Taifa Muhimbili na kuwapa pole.

Akizungumza na waandishi wa habari, Mkurugenzi wa Tiba wa Taasisi ya Mifupa (Moi), Dk Cuthbert Mcharo alisema walipokea majeruhi sita na hadi jana walikuwa wamebakia wanne.

Miili zaidi yapatikana

Katika hatua nyingine kikosi cha uokoaji jana kilipata miili ya watu saba iliyopatikana. Mmoja kati ya miili hiyo baada ya kuuchunguza, ulikutwa na kitambulisho cha kupigia kura kinachomtambulisha kwa jina la Salumu Mwaliko kutoka Kijiji cha Kwadeboma, Handeni mkoani Tanga.

Hatua hiyo inafanya idadi ya watu waliopoteza maisha katika maafa hayo kufikia 31.

NHC kugharimia majeruhi, mazishi

Mkuu wa Mkoa wa Dar es Salaam, Said Meck Sadick alisema amepokea taarifa kutoka kwa Mkurugenzi Mkuu wa Shirika la Nyumba la Taifa (NHC), Nehemia Mchechu kwamba kuna majengo matatu ya ghorofa ambayo yanatakiwa kubomolewa kutokana na kuchakaa. Mbali na hilo, Mkuu wa Mkoa amesema Shirika la Nyumba la Taifa (NHC) linatakiwa kulipa gharama zote za watu walioathirika na ajali ya Ijumaa iliyopita.

Alisema NHC wanapaswa kuwahudumia majeruhi wote pamoja na kugharimia mazishi ya watu waliopoteza maisha.

ISOME HAPA SPEECH YA RAILLA ODINGA BAADA YA MAAMUZI YA MAHAKAMA YA JUU KENYA

Fellow Kenyans,

Members of the media,

Ladies and gentlemen,

Good afternoon,

You will recall that on 9th March 2013, I issued a statement on the conduct of the elections which had just been concluded. 

I expressed my deep gratitude to all Kenyans who had turned out massively to exercise their democratic rights to vote and elect their leaders.

I however expressed my dismay that contrary to the expectations of Kenyans, we witnessed the failure of virtually every instrument the IEBC had deployed to ensure free, fair and transparent elections.

I outlined such failures, with concrete examples of the anomalies that all of us witnessed. It was clear that the constitutionally sanctioned process of electing new leaders had been thwarted again by another tainted election. Democracy was on trial in Kenya.

But that has not dented my commitment to constitutionalism and the rule of law.

Enforcing the spirit and letter of the constitution remains the only sure way to peace and prosperity for our young democracy.

My decision to file a petition in the Supreme Court to challenge the validity of the election was a testament of my faith in the independence of our judiciary.

We did so for the sake of our democracy and for the sake of all Kenyans who wanted to exercise their constitutional right to elect their leaders through free and fair election.

We were joined in this endeavour by Africog, which separately filed a petition seeking to nullify the fourth of March Presidential election.


This proves that my petition had nothing to do with personal grudge as contended by the IEBC, Hon Uhuru Kenyatta and Hon William Ruto.

In the petition, I expressed our belief that the court would uphold the letter and spirit of our constitution. I pledged to abide by the court decision.

We prosecuted the case to the best of our ability.

Our legal team, led by Senior Counsel George Oraro compiled formidable and logical evidence showing that massive malpractices occurred during the elections.

We unearthed evidence of technology failure that required a full audit, inappropriate conduct on the part of IEBC staff, irregular and unethical arrangements such as the sharing of servers by IEBC with a competitor and unmarked registers.

We regret that the court disallowed evidence on the grounds that it was either filed late or the court did not have time to inquire into these discrepancies. In the end, Kenyans lost their right to know what indeed happened.

Ladies and gentlemen, 

The court has now spoken. Article 140 of our constitution states that “the Supreme Court shall hear and determine the petition and its decision is final.”

Although we may not agree with some of its findings, and despite all the anomalies we have pointed out, our belief in constitutionalism remains supreme. 

Casting doubt on the judgment of the court could lead to higher political and economic uncertainty, and make it more difficult for our country to move forward.

We must soldier on in our resolve to reform our politics and institutions. Respect for the supremacy of the constitution in resolving disputes between fellow citizens is the surest foundation of our democratic society.

And the courts should always act within the evolving constitutional culture.

I and my brother and running mate Hon Kalonzo have no regrets for taking our case to court.

Indeed, it is our view that this court process is yet another milestone in our long road towards democracy for which we have fought so long.

Truth, justice and the faithful implementation of the constitution is our best guarantee to peace and security.

Ladies and gentlemen,

It is my hope that the incoming government will have fidelity to our constitution, and implement it to the letter for the betterment of our people. I wish president –elect Uhuru Kenyatta and deputy President elect William Ruto best of luck in this endeavour.

I also wish all the Senators, Members of Parliament, Women Representatives, Governors and others who were elected in the last election success in discharging the expectations of our people.

I want to thank Senior Counsel George Oraro and the members of his legal team for their hard work and devotion in the quest for justice. I would also like to pay special tribute to the Africog legal team led by Kethi Kilonzo for their immense contribution to the rule of law and democracy.

To the Kenyans who supported us and our petition, I want to assure you that I will continue to work for you and with you to build our county, Kenya, and to help you achieve your dreams.

My actions have always been guided by my desire to bring about a better life for all Kenyans, particularly those who are less privileged. The future of Kenya is bright. Let us not allow the elections to divide us. Let us re-unite as a Nation.

Finally, I call on all Kenyans– our supporters and opponents alike – to remember the sacred words of our National Anthem: Justice be our shield and defender;

Bashe anusurika kutekwa

WIMBI la viongozi wakuu wa Kampuni ya New Habari (2006) Ltd, kuendelea kuwindwa na watu wasiofahamika, limeendelea kushika kasi, baada ya usiku wa kumkia jana, Ofisa Mtendaji Mkuu wa kampuni hiyo, Hussein Bashe, kunusurika kutekwa. Tukio hilo, lilitokea juzi usiku wakati Bashe alipokuwa akitoka ofisini kwake Sinza Kijiweni, akielekea nyumbani kwake Mbezi.

Akizungumzia tukio hilo, Bashe alisema wakati anaondoka ofisini kwake kwa gari lake, alianza kufuatiliwa kwa nyuma na magari mawili, likiwamo aina ya NOA ambalo hata hivyo hakufanikiwa kujua lilikuwa na watu wangapi.

“Kama kawaida nilishinda ofisini kwa ajili ya majukumu yangu ya kazi na muda wa kutoka ulipowadia, niliondoka kurudi nyumbani.

“Awali wakati navuka geti la pale ofisini, sikuwa na shaka yoyote, lakini kadri nilivyozidi kuendelea na safari yangu, niliona nyuma nafuatiliwa na magari mawili ambayo yalikuwa yakiendeshwa kwa tahadhari.

“Nilipofika Mwenge ile NOA ilikuwa bado iko nyuma yangu, sasa nikaanza kupatwa na wasiwasi, nikajua hapa kuna jambo.

“Moyoni niliendelea kumuomba Mungu, huku nikijiuliza maswali mengi hawa jamaa ni akina nani, kwa kweli sikupata jibu zuri.

“Nilipofika Mbezi, niliona yale magari yanazidi kunisogelea, kwa hiyo, nikaamua kuongeza kasi na wao wakazidi kuja tu.

“Wakati niko Mbezi jirani na njia panda ya kwenda kwangu, gari moja lilinipita kwa kasi na kuendelea mbele.

“Unajua kuelekea kwangu pale kuna barabara kama tatu ambazo zote unaweza kuzitumia na zikakufikisha hadi nyumbani kwangu,” alisema Bashe na kuongeza:

“Nilichokifanya nilipita barabara ya kwanza na wao wakapita barabara ya pili na ghafla nilikutana nao uso kwa uso, wakati huo naelekea kwangu na kibaya zaidi, gari lao walizima taa kubwa na kuacha ndogo.

“Walivyona gari langu, walinipiga taa kuashiria wanakata kona, lakini cha ajabu walinifuata nyuma na hapo nikaanza kujua sasa nafuatiliwa.

“Nilichokifanya sikwenda nyumbani moja kwa moja, bali niliamua kupaki gari kwenye grosari moja iliyoko jirani na kwangu.

“Baadaye niliamua kuondoka ili niwazunguke kwa nyuma nisome namba za gari lao, lakini sikufanikiwa kwa sababu taa za nyuma zilikuwa zimezimwa,” alisema Bashe.

Kwa mujibu wa Bashe, baadaye aliingia nyumbani kwake na kuwakuta wageni ambao alikaa nao hadi saa sita usiku baada ya kuwasimulia tukio lilivyokuwa.

“Sasa basi, wakati jamaa zangu hao wanaondoka kurudi kwao, walikuta lile gari pale pale njiani, wakanipigia simu, kwamba lile gari nililowasimulia linawafuatilia.

“Nikawaambia wageuze gari lao ili wasome namba, lakini hawakufanikiwa hata kidogo kwa sababu wale jamaa walishtuka na kuamua kutimua.

“Kwa hiyo, nilichokifanya nilikwenda pale Polisi Kawe na kutoa taarifa ambapo nilipewa RB yenye namba KW/RB/2899/2013,” alisema.

Machi 6, mwaka huu, Mhariri Mtendaji Mkuu wa New Habari (2006) Ltd, Absalom Kibanda, alitekwa na kuteswa na watu wasiofahamika.

Naonya mtu yeyote ambaye anatumia jina langu ili kufanikisha malengo yake ya kisiasa. CHADEMA sio pango la watesaji wala wauaji. Kama kuna mwanachama wa chama kingine cha siasa anayedhani kuna mtu ndani ya CHADEMA anapanga mipango ovu aende kwenye vyombo vya sheria kumshtaki. Matendo ya mtu mmoja yasifanyiwe propaganda kama ni malengo ya taasisi.

Nne, Nawashauri viongozi wenzangu wa CHADEMA na hasa wanachama tutumie muda wetu kujenga mshikamano ndani ya chama. Fitna, majungu, uongo, uzandiki nk kamwe havijengi chama. Chama chetu lazima kiwe mfano bora wa kuheshimu demokrasia na haki za binaadamu. Wananchi hawawezi kutoa dola kwa chama chenye mifarakano. Tusiruhusu kugawanywa kwa matakwa ya watu wachache. Tusimamie misingi ya kuanzishwa chama chetu.

MWANAFUNZI WA CHUO KUKUU DA ES SALAAM AJINYONGA

Mwanafunzi wa Chuo Kikuu cha Dar es Salaam (UDSM) mwaka wa pili Kitivo cha Sheria, Joseph Bernadina (25), amejinyonga kwa kutumia kamba na kukutwa ameifunga juu ya mti, katika eneo la Yombo chuoni hapo.

Makamu Mkuu wa Chuo hicho, Utawala, Profesa Yunus Mgaya, alithibitisha  kutokea kwa tukio hilo na kwamba alipata taarifa hizo jana asubuhi.

Aliongeza kuwa Jumamosi iliyopita alipokea simu kutoka kituo cha polisi cha chuo hicho akielezwa kuwa kuna mwanafunzi alitishia kujiua, lakini aliwahishwa hospitali na kupatiwa ushauri kutoka kitengo maalum cha washauri wa chuoni hapo na kuruhusiwa Jumapili.

“Nilikuja tena kushituka leo asubuhi napokea simu kutoka kwa mshauri wa wanafunzi kuwa kuna wanausalama wamemkuta mwanafunzi akiwa amejinyonga juu ya mti huku akiwa na karatasi kwenye mfuko wa sharti ikimtambulisha pamoja na ujumbe uliosema, kifo chake kisihusishwe na mtu yeyote kwani amejiua kwa ridhaa yake --asisumbuliwe mtu yeyote kwani nimefanya hivi kwa maamuzi yangu mwenyewe pia nizikwe kwetu--” alisema.

Profesa Mgaya alisema taratibu za mazishi zinaendelea kufanywa na Uongozi wa chuo kwa kushirikiana na ndugu wa marehemu na kwamba Chuo kitagharamia kuusafirisha mwili kama alivyoomba katika ujumbe aliouacha wa kupelekwa wilayani Ludewa Mkoa wa Iringa.

Naye rafiki wa marehemu, Daniel Mwamlima, alisema marehemu hakuwahi kuzungumza chochote kilichoashiria kuwa ana matatizo wala mgogoro na mtu yeyote.  Alisema walimuacha hospitalini Jumamosi na kesho yake kumchukua, lakini  baadaye aliwatoroka.

Mahakama yaamuru matokeo ya urais Kenya yachunguzwe

Nairobi. Mahakama ya Juu (Supreme Court) ya nchini Kenya imeagiza kuchunguzwa kwa fomu 34 za matokeo ya uchaguzi wa rais kutoka katika vituo vyote 34,400, vilivyotumika kupigia kura katika Uchaguzi Mkuu wa nchi hiyo uliofanyika Machi 4, mwaka huu.


Kadhalika mahakama hiyo jana iliagiza kuhesabiwa upya kwa kura za urais katika vituo vya kupigia kura 22 kati ya elfu 33 vilivyolalamikiwa na aliyekuwa mgombea urais wa Muungano wa Cord, Raila Odinga.


Katika malalamiko yake yaliyowasilishwa katika mahakama hiyo kupinga Uhuru Kenyatta kutangazwa mshindi wa urais katika Uchaguzi Mkuu uliofanyika Machi 4, Odinga alidai kuwa vituo hivyo 22 kura zilizopigwa zinazidi idadi ya wapigakura walioandikishwa.


Akisoma uamuzi huo kwa niaba ya majaji wenzake watano, Jaji Smokin Wanjala alisema kwamba uhesabuji kura wa vituo hivyo utafanyika leo kuanzia saa 2.00 asubuhi kwa lengo la kubaini ukweli kuhusu madai hayo.


“Matokeo ya kura zitakazohesabiwa katika vituo hivyo 22 yawasilishwe katika mahakama hii Jumatano, saa 10.00 jioni,” alisema Jaji Wanjala.
Kikao hicho, ambacho Jaji Mkuu wa Tanzania, Mohamed Othman Chande amealikwa kama mwangalizi, ni cha awali kabla ya kesi hiyo kuanza kusikilizwa rasmi keshokutwa (Alhamisi) na kuendelea kwa mfululizo hadi kufikia uamuzi ikiwa madhumuni yake.


Lengo ni kupitia madai yaliyowasilishwa mahakamani hapo na pande zote zinazohusika na kuamua mwenendo wa kesi utakavyofanyika.

Their idea is to create products in which luxury can be combined with technology. This phone also has more than 200 diamonds in it. The phone’s panel at the back has 53 gems encrusted into it, while the home button is covered with a diamond weighing 7.1 carats.
3. Peter Alloison’s Kings Button iPhone – $2.4 million



Peter Alloison is a renowned designer of jewelries from Austria. There are 138 diamonds encrusted into the body of this phone. There is also a 6.6 carat white diamond on the home button, which enhances the class of the phone.
4. JSC Ancort’s Diamond Crypto Smart Phone – $1.3 million



JSC Ancort is a Russian company that developed a smart phone based on Windows CE. It is encrusted with 50 diamonds, including 10 that are blue. It is called Crypto because of it employs a powerful encryption technology. It supposedly gives protection against kidnapping and technological blackmail. Peter Alloison was the designer of this phone.
5. Goldvish’s Le Million – $1.2 million



Goldvish is a Swiss manufacturer of top of the line and premium luxury cellular phones. The company prides itself in applying Swiss craftsmanship to high-end technology. It is the creator of the Le Million, which has a guaranteed limited production of only three units. The phone is made of solid gold and is studded with diamonds.
6. Gresso Luxor Las Vegas Jackpot – $1 million



Gresso is a manufacturer of luxury communication gadgets. It was established in 2005 in Switzerland. Only three units of this phone were ever made. Its frame is made of solid gold weighing 180 grams. The panel at the back is made of African backwood that is more than 200 years old. This wood is the most expensive in the world. Miss Israel 2013.. First black woman to ever win the crown

February this year, Yityish Aynaw was crowned Miss Israel 2013. Yityish is the first ever black Miss Israel.

Yityish, 21, was born in Ethiopia and made aliyah (immigrated to Israel) with her family when she was 12. She served as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces.

There have been a differing opinion in USA’s black community on Miss Aynaw’s achievement. Some see it as a triumph in a country where black people are a minority, and a sign that racism is waning in many country. Some in black community have seen this differently. They think this is just a PR stunt by state of Israel to mask it’s horrific record on racism. They choose this black girl as a token so they can say “look! We have a black Miss Israel… We’re not racist!.” Below are some of the comments from black folks:
